Moon Shin monumental sculpture of 25 meters high was erected in SOMA sculptor park celebrating the 1988 Summer Olympics Seoul and it marked the end of his research and sculptural work created from 1969 until 1980 in Latin Quarter of Paris and Barcarès Museum, Musée des Sables.ĭuring his long creation sojourn in Paris, he worked as well on his project of building his own Museum. It was following the famous 1988 Art Olympiads in Seoul, South Korea, where a monumental sculptures Museum in open air and a Museum of International paintings was created for the world competition, in order to invite and show the art of major international artists of the 20th Century. A Solo Show of his abstract drawings and paintings of his sculptures was organized during this international event marking his sculptural research and creations. Moon Shin belonged to the delegation of South Korea. The Paris Art Olympiads were organized by Lise Cormery Gallery for the CNOSF, French Olympic Committee.
